Taking a line between the traditional and contemporary, our approach to this project was to use traditional brick details upscaled to allow large, simple window and door openings that maximise daylight and views to the garden. Internally the new space links seamlessly with the existing house with the coffered ceiling reflecting the roof lantern. As a contrast to the traditional red brick of the area, Staffordshire Blue bricks are used for the landscaping to create more of a sense of enclosure.
